How do I register
online to create my own custom fundraising page?
Click on the REGISTER NOW button and fill out the necessary
information. You will be provided a username and password for your participant
center in which you will use to log into your personal online fundraising page.
Does everyone on my
Walk team have to register online?
In order to walk on the day of the event, each team member
must be registered and has to pay the registration fee. You can also register
and turn in your pledges the day of the event, if someone wants to join the
walk last minute.
How much do I have to
raise in order to Walk?
There is no minimum to walk, but if you would like a Walk T-shirt, you
have to raise a minimum of $100.
How do I get a Walk
t-shirt?
Each walker will have to raise at least $100 to receive a Walkathon T-shirt. You can also purchase a shirt for $10 (fee apart from initial registration payment).
Do I have to pay for
parking?
Because you are going to be walking for an event, you will
not have to pay for parking as long as you go through the designated gate in
which you will be informed of at registration.
Can I turn in pledges
after the walk?
You are encouraged to turn in the majority of your pledges at
registration on the day of the event, but if you have additional pledges you
can to send them to:

When I receive
donations via cash, I assume the donor will want a receipt. What do I need to
do?
For tax-deductible receipts- please collect name and mailing
addresses and indicate who has requested a receipt on your pledge form that you
will receive upon registration and GCH will handle the rest!!
Can I bring my dog to
the zoo? What about strollers?
Unfortunately, there cannot be any pets brought to the zoo,
but strollers are welcome.
What if it rains?
Registration may be moved to the parking structure, but we
will walk RAIN or SHINE.
Is there going to be
food in the Walk tent or should I bring a snack?
There will be snacks in the Walk tent that you can help
yourself to.
How should I dress?
It will be the beginning of summer, but the mornings are
still chilly. Wear a coat with something light underneath.
How long is the walk
around the park?
Our walk is 1.8 miles, but feel free to venture off the path
to other exhibits and paths.
Do I have to leave
the park after the walk?
Absolutely not. Those that are participating with the event
will have free access to the park after the walk.
